New Book debuts next weekend in New York
'Through the Eyes of the New Photographer' debuts next weekend at Bridge Art Fair. If you or anyone you know is in New York City go have a peak. Here is what Art Now had to say:
"We invite all our friends and clients to visit our booth at Bridge NY09 at The Waterfront (222 12th Avenue). This will be the launch of our second art book entitled "Through the eyes of new Photographers" with artworks from artists who are the future of the art world. "
I look forward to seeing the book as well, I am hoping that it will arrive on my doorstep today. Below are my two pages from the book.

Studio Tour on Kera's Art + Seek Blog
About a month ago I had a visit from Betsy Lewis from Kera's Art+Seek. We spent some time in my studio chatting and I gave her a tour. Please have a look here at the video. Kera will be visiting many artists studios, so stayed tuned to get an inside peek at more spaces. This project was brought about because of La Reunion's Make Space for Art competition.

"For the Love of Kettle Art" a benefit show for the gallery is tomorrow
Kettle Art is a place that is near and dear to me and many other Dallas artists. a group of us asked a bunch of artists to participate in the benefit. All of the work I saw come in at drop off looked amazing. If you are needing some new art and want to attend an event for a great cause this is it folks. I gave two photographs that were taken in New York City when a bunch of us crazy Kettle folk went up there to participate in an Art Fair.

Art Con , Trees and More
What a couple of weeks in Dallas. Art Conspiracy held it's thank you party for the volunteers and artists. We also gave a $20,000 check to preservation link. What a great night to be a part of an organization that feeds right back into it's own local arts economy.
The trees were recently debuted out on the La Reunion land. Team Hackberry a.k.a myself, Erik Glissmann, Aaron Glissmann and Tanya Meurer worked many hour in the woods for a month to produce our piece. The experience was wonderful and the other artist's creations fantastic. I look forward to take on the next project!

Tree Carving Video
I was just hoping around on the web and came across this little news clip about the tree carving event. Have a look, DMN Video
Tree Carving Extravaganza!
Well we have been hard at work on the land and tomorrow all can come out to see what we have been up to. I have kept all pictures back on this project to leave the element of surprise. The group that I have had the absolute pleasure to work with are amazing. Not to mention all of the other artists. It has been an honor to get to know everyone! Come out and see the creations.

Is there too much noise in our lives?
I had the pleasure of joining a salon discussion last sunday. It was posted yesterday. The chatters are Rick Vanderslice, R.J. Jackson, Carissa Byers and Myself. We spent one hour discussing the topic of noise and whether it is too much in our lives? If you have some time check it out. The Vanderslice Salon, thank you to Rick and R.J. for inviting me to join the discussion. I look forward to hearing you guys discuss more topics in the future.
